Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Rewoven Chrome extension and the Rewoven website.
Effective date: June 2026
What happens on your device. When you visit a fashion product page, the extension reads the page's content locally in your browser to detect the brand and, where listed, the fabric composition. That analysis happens entirely on-device. The contents of the pages you visit are never uploaded anywhere.
What gets sent. To fetch a brand's sustainability rating, the extension sends only the detected brand name (as a slug, e.g. patagonia) to our public API at api.rewovenapp.com. That request contains:
What we store. Nothing about you, server-side. The API serves the same public brand database to everyone and doesn't keep profiles of who asked for what. Your extension settings (for example, whether the overlay is enabled) stay in your browser's local storage on your device.
No analytics, no trackers. The extension contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code.
rewovenapp.com is a static website hosted on GitHub Pages. Rewoven sets no cookies. A few practical notes:
Rewoven is built with young people in mind, which is exactly why the extension and website are designed to work without accounts, personal data, or tracking.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above. We won't quietly start collecting things this page says we don't.

Curious how our ratings and estimates are made? That's all public too: read the methodology.
